Hi All!
So, after I began the KettleWorx program last week, I have discovered that 1, I love Kettle Bell workouts! And 2, I think that I like Jillian Michaels to kick my butt instead of that KettleWorx guy. LOL! Her workouts feel better and she is way more instructional. Anyway, I recommend that route if anyone decides to do it.
Sunday, was weigh in day and I am down another 1.5 pounds...yay! That brings it to a grand total of 40.1 pounds. WOO HOO! I'll take it! I still have my goal of 20 more pounds before my 20 year High School Reunion which is on July 22. I am sure that if I stay the course, I will accomplish it.
Have a wonderful week!
Be kind to yourselves.
Shawna :-)
Hey girl - are you taking names?? Cause you sure are kickin ASS!!
ReplyDeleteHave a great day :-)
Yay for you! You are doing amazing. I have not tried the kettle bells, but you've got me interested. Might be time for something new. Keep up the good work!
ReplyDeleteThat is so amazing!!! I am so excited for you! If this old lady,(I just went to a 37 year mini reunion) can get the weight off, you can! I see gals doing the kettle balls in the metabolic classes that I walk by on my way to Zumba. I should try it. I always have good intentions!
ReplyDeleteGreat job and you can do it! Slow and steady!
Thank you all so much! I am actually really enjoying working out again. It's definitely not easy but I am feeling much better and actually, pretty accomplished. I appreciate your support so much!
ReplyDeleteShawna - I do zero exercise now. Going to try the kettle bell workout. It's something I can do at home. Just curious...how many times a week are you doing kettle bells and is it Jillian's workout or KettleWorX?

Dana, I am actually doing both at the moment. I really liked Jillian's workout much better but my husband and I are doing this together and he really likes KettleWorx so, we switch it up on some days. KettleWorx Basic is a 6 week program and that is the one we are doing now. We workout every other day at this point. We saw it at Target yesterday so, you do not need to order it online unless that is your preference. Jillian's stuff is also at Target. Good luck with whatever you choose.
DeleteShawna - thanks for the response. I did purchase KettleWorX (5 lb) at Target. I thought about purchasing the workout gloves in case the kettlebell causes blisters but didn't get them.
DeleteOh, that's great! My husband and I have been doing the workouts for 2 week now and we have neither one encountered blisters so, you should be good. :) Happy working out.
DeleteHi Shawna!! Just found your blog and I'm very excited to follow you as I'm also trying to lose weight with the BFC. You've got me intrigued now to try the kettle ball. I actually got my mother-in-law two different sizes for Christmas to add to her home gym. After I gave them to her I wished I had kept them for myself :) and then promised to go get one but I have't yet. I'll have to take care of that this weekend. :) Looking forward to sharing this journey with you!! Kim
ReplyDeleteHi Kim, so nice to meet you. :) I am loving my Kettle Bell workouts! If you are going to buy yourself some Kettle Bells, I would recommend the Jillian Michaels set from WalMart. It is 3 different weights, 5-15lbs and we paid $37 for it. It comes with a holder and a DVD. Let me know how it's going and I will keep updating my progress. Happy weekend!
